Ellie & I were jonsing for some nachos this past weekend so we decided to hit up EL Tepeyac. This “mom & pop” restaurant in East L.A is not only infamous for its burritos, but their nachos are to die for too!
I was in the mood to try something new at Starbucks, and the barista recommended I have the Fizzio Lemon Ale w/ 3 pumps of raspberry syrup instead of 6. It turned out to be my new fav drink for this Summer. It’s cool, refreshing, and sweet. You must try it 🙂
After A Spoonful of Style, put up a recipe for some Swedish biscuits called Hallongrotter or “raspberry caves” it left me with a sweet tooth, so naturally I had to make some to satisfy my craving. It’s super easy to make, a great companion to have with tea or coffee, a nice small midday snack ,or to have as an after dinner dessert.
Why settle with the simplicity of watching a movie in 3D when you can experience it in 4DX! According to it’s description, it “features motion seats and special effects including wind, fog, mist/rain, scents and more that perfectly synch to the on-screen action.” My husband and I had a date night this past weekend, and we headed out to L.A. Live in downtown to see what the hype was all about. Guardians of the Galaxy was playing in 4DX, and it was so much fun! It almost feels like a little roller coaster ride! We will definitely be going back again.
1. I seriously started singing I Think I Love You after I wolfed down this scrumptious Girl Scouts Samoa flavored Nestle Crunch bar. Not sure if I should be proud of that moment, but it was sooo good! If you’re a chocolate lover like me, it’s a must try ❤ ❤ ❤
2. I think I’m feeling a little old because half of these 33 Cool Abbreviations I didin’t know, lol! So JIC you missed it, FUTAB and check to see if there are any new ones YSK about! LMK what you think 😎
3. If you can overlook the blatant product placement for Samsung, Janelle Monáe’s video for her song Electric Lady will have you dancing in your chair or up out of it in no time ⭐
When a comfort food craving hits, sometimes there’s just no time to waste, right? Last week my husband made a delicious grilled cheese sandwich! I know there is no real science to making it, but he said that what appealed to him about the recipe was that you grilled the sandwich with Mayo instead of butter! So he decided to try this Food52 recipe out and find out if mayonnaise was better than butter.
– Sharp Cheddar Cheese (any brand could be used to get fancy, we just had the Costco house brand at that moment)
-Sourdough or any rustic bread (we used sourdough)
The original recipe was intended to serve 10 people, so we modified it for just the two of us. All you need is four slices of your chosen bread. Shred about 4oz of the cheese or whatever stacks up well with the size of your bread.
Heat frying pan over medium to low heat. Spread mayo on the outside of each slice of bread. Sprinkle your desired amount of shredded cheese on the inside of one slice of bread, cover with second slice of bread and place in frying pan.
Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
When done, place it on a pate, add some chips or fruit, and lunch is served!
Easy peasy, right!!?
It was super delicious and it was equally as good as grilling it with butter. No waiting for the butter to soften or tearing up bread, and the whole thing was perfectly crispy and melty! This is definitely a great recipe to make when you are in a pinch and don’t have lot of time or simply want to try a new twist on an old favorite.
I had the chance to get away this past weekend to do something fun with some friends, Ellie, and my hubby! Got to have an outdoor picnic & watch one of our cult classic favorites Empire Records at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. For the last 13 years, Cinespia has offered movies during the Summer at this cemetery. It’s such an awesome experience that you will never forget. If you haven’t had the chance to do something like this, you must try 🙂
A round-up of cool crafty rings you can make this Summer in a breeze!
One of my favorite artists is Frida Kahlo, so I can never get enough of her. My mom went on a recent trip to Rosarito, Mexico and she came back bearing gifts! I received this lovely painting and a crossbody satchel. Love, Love, Love!
Okay, I’m totally gaga over these shades because I love moons and stars! These red & gold starry Acetate sunglasses are part of Yazbukey & Zanzan’s Autumn/Winter 14′ Collection.
When I look at myself all I can seeI’m just another lady without a BABYNo matter how hard I try to be just one of the guysThere’s a little something inside that won’t let me!
I took advantage of a sale that Evans was having last week and bought myself a cool shirt! I liked it because it reminded me of Summer- cool shades & great places to vacation. I was so happy with the way it felt and looked on me too. I was able to pair it up with some white shorts and decided to paint my nails in hues of pink and blue and a dash of pink on my pout! I also found the perfect bracelet sitting my armswag collection.
