Lately, I have been seeing these totally adorz little fury cell phone cozies or covers that just put a warm smile on my face.
I have a passion for anything vintage and glam, and it reminded me of a classic 50’s fur coat. So I had to have one because why not keep my cell phone warm and sophisticated like a 1950’s housewife.
Instead of shelling out $20-$30 for one, I hit my local craft store to get some supplies to make my own.
♥ 1 Sheet of Craft Fur
♥ 1 Sheet of Felt
♥ Vintage Brads
♥ Hot Glue Gun & glue sticks
♥ Needle & Thread
I chose the hot glue instead of needle & thread to adhere the pieces together, but you can choose either or.
1. Glue sheet of felt to the back of the craft fur. I chose felt that had a design on it just because I thought it would look nicer, but you don’t have too.
2. Measure width of cell phone and cut material accordingly. I left like 1″ extra on each side to give me enough space to glue the sides together.
3. Glue sides inside out.
4. Turn it right side in and choose brads that you want to use. The brads will go through the material so you don’t need to glue or sew them on which is great!
Wallah! You have a new cell phone carrier to match with your winter wears and be the envy of all of your friends!
In case your wondering my total cost was $9 and I still had enough left over to make another one for a friend!
