Beauty Review: Think Inside the Box

Love Beauty? Love Products? Love Samples?

For $10 a month Birchbox can smuggle you some good stuff in a box.  The upside of this membership includes feeding your addiction to mini products, unboxing, and discounts galore.  The downsides are grab bag uncertainty, petite promotional sizes, and ultimately paying for what should be free.

March Madness products included: Make Eyeshadow, Make Face Primer, Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Shampoo, Whish Shaving Cream, and Madewell for Birchbox Emery Board.

Here are our following testimonials

Make- Eyeshadow in Cement color

The name of the color says it all.  Who wants to wear cement on their eyelids.

Make- Face Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Make: the maker of pimples.

Nick Chavez Beverly Hills- Color-Saver Sulfate-Free Shampoo

Great smell, but nothing you can’t get east of Sunset.

Whish- Shave Crave Shaving Cream

I like to eat butter but not smell like it.  Target house brand baby wash does a better job.

Madewell for Birchbox-Emery Board

A perfect file for luxury.

On the bright side, I did rack up 60 points on product reviews and purchasing the monthly box which means I’m 40 points away from earning $10 off any products of my choice (Every 100 points earns you $10)!

Stay tuned for April’s unraveling!

  1. We received the same March Birchbox (different MAKE eye shadow colors though). Isn’t it fab?! I can’t wait for the April box. Great review and photos. I can’t wait to read more from you two! 🙂
